LINK at the Transport Managers Forum 2019!

This month, on 16-17 May, Transport and Logistics Managers Forum took place, which was organized by the editors of „Transport Manager”. LINK was invited to participate in the discussion panel entitled 'The recipe for success in the era of shortage of employees”

During the discussion panel, Paweł Moder, CEO of LINK, shared his experience on our methods for effective employer branding, recruitment and human resources management in the transportation, freight forwarding & logistics industry.

The most important message that we tried to convey is our conviction that it is the people who are the main strength of our organization. Indeed, a satisfied employee is a guarantee of the effectiveness and quality of our services. In addition, we also raised the issue of LINK’s involvement in educational projects (including the cooperation with a higher education facility – the Social Academy of Sciences as part of the specialization: Autonomous Vehicles Coordinator). Interdisciplinary education of young people who are just entering the labour market, dual studies, business and science cooperation, learning practical skills, openness to change and new technologies – these are the educational trends which we advocate and support in real terms as a company.

At LINK, we conduct parallel activities that fit into two trends of dealing with staff shortages: both a managerial and technological one. Proper motivation, openness to young people entering the labour market, appropriate management, motivation and constant development of employee competences, combined with active participation in projects which are concerned with new technologies, provide us with the optimal staff. We believe that new technologies do not pose a threat to employees. On the contrary, they constitute an opportunity – they are supposed to serve the employees of our industry and contribute to making, for example, drivers’ work, more attractive. The development of technology, the introduction of new solutions and the automation of processes, enable us to make human work more interesting, less monotonous, with an increase in managerial and organizational functions. The changes which occur in transport and logistics management can help to attract new employees to the transport and logistics industry.

We are extremely pleased that we were able to share our experience and good practices that we have developed as part of our policy with the managers from the industry.
